Skystalker is one of the most exciting TF scouts ever released. While the images I've seen on the web have already stoked my interests, actually having it in my hands and playing with it reveals that it's even better in real life. The toy is a mini-masterpiece of toy making. In stealth jet mode, every part of the figure snaps tight and flush. For a small toy, it has tons of details in vehicle mode. There's almost no kibble to be seen save for the belly of the jet. The black, gray, silver and white colors suit the mold perfectly. Skystalker's jet form can be attached to voyager Mindwipe's jet form (I don't have Mindwipe yet). This little jet has a swing out front landing gear and an intermediate gerwalk/attack mode that looks cool from all angles.
Skystalker's feet springs closed automatically, but their loose enough to be opened easily. His large feet allows for an incredible amount of poseability when combined with the figure's exceptional level of articulation. In robot form, he wields two axe-like weapons (which are detached from the jet's wings) that plugs into each of his hands, they can also be clamped onto his forearms. Skystalker is rather short even for a scout class figure, but that doesn't detract from his impressive looking robot form. He looks like a cross between a chimp and a bat.
Skystalker has to be bar-none the best scout class figure I've ever seen/played with. He's all-around near perfect in every aspect. I kinda wonder how Hasbro could also release garbage scout class products when they have designers who created Skystalker. This toy is a must have, period. Heck, I wouldn't mind having an entire squadron of these little guys (and I won't even need repaints to do so). Below are the score totals.
